MEET BETSY

Born & Raised in DeKalb County. Proud to Help Others Call It Home.

Home has always meant more to me than just a place on a map. It's where families gather around the dinner table, neighbors become lifelong friends, children create memories, and every road tells a story.

I know that because DeKalb County is where I was born and raised.

Growing up here gave me a deep appreciation for everything that makes our community special—from the quiet country roads and family farms to the neighborhoods of Smithville and the beauty of Center Hill Lake. Today, I'm honored to help others discover the same place I've always been proud to call home.

Since becoming a full-time REALTOR® in 2016, I've had the privilege of helping buyers and sellers throughout DeKalb County and Middle Tennessee navigate one of life's biggest decisions. Whether you're purchasing your first home, selling a family property, searching for acreage, looking for a lake home, or planning your retirement, my goal is simple: to provide honest guidance, clear communication, and service that's always focused on your best interests.

I believe buying or selling a home should never feel like a sales transaction. It should feel like having someone in your corner who listens, answers your questions, explains the process, and genuinely wants the best outcome for you and your family.

My knowledge of this area comes from a lifetime of living here—not just from selling real estate. My father, a retired military veteran who later became a professional bass fisherman, taught me to appreciate the beauty of Center Hill Lake and the surrounding countryside. Those experiences gave me firsthand knowledge of the communities, back roads, farms, lake properties, and hidden gems that make DeKalb County such a wonderful place to live.

When I'm not helping clients, you'll often find me serving alongside others in our community. My faith and my community are important parts of who I am, and I'm grateful to volunteer through church ministries, community meals, local outreach efforts, and other opportunities to give back.

One program especially close to my heart is my partnership with the DeKalb Animal Shelter. As a small way of celebrating a successful closing, I pay the adoption fee for my buyers or sellers who choose to adopt a pet from the shelter within three months of closing (subject to the shelter's adoption requirements). It's one more way I can help people—and pets—find their forever home.

Professionally, I hold the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) and Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS®) designations, and I continue to invest in education covering residential homes, lake properties, land, farms, and second-home purchases so I can better serve my clients.

Whether you've lived here your entire life or you're just beginning to explore DeKalb County, I'd be honored to help you find not just a house—but a place you'll be proud to call home.

Born & Raised in DeKalb County. Lifelong Local Knowledge. Honest Guidance. Community First.

I look forward to helping you with your next chapter.
